Colorado Educational Services and Development Association (CESDA) is pleased to announce its Scholarship Program for the 2011 graduating class.  We are giving various $1,000 scholarships.  Please read the instructions carefully and be sure the information submitted is complete.


 QUALIFICATIONS

1. Applicant must be a first generation student, or member of an underrepresented ethnic or racial minority, and/or show financial need.

2. Applicant must be a resident of the State of Colorado.

3. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior during the spring of 2011, from a Colorado high school.

4. Applicant must enroll at a 2 or 4-year Colorado college or university in the fall of 2011 and take a minimum of 6 credit hours.

5. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 2.80 on a scale of 4.00.

6. Applicant will be selected by, but not limited to, the following criteria: leadership and community service-particularly within minority     communities, past academic performance, personal and professional accomplishments, personal attributes special abilities, academic goals, and financial need.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. All three parts of the application must be typed or written legibly and all questions must be answered. If a question does not apply, please respond with “Not Applicable” or “N/A”.

2. Provide an official high school transcript.

3. All materials must be received by Friday, March 4, 2011

Please Note: A verification statement of admission from the Colorado junior college, community college, four year college or university will be required before the award will be granted for the fall 2011 semester.
