HOW TO BECOME A CESDA MEMBER

 

To become a member of CESDA you need to complete an application as an individual member or institutional member.The cost for individual member is $60.00 and institutional member is $180.00. To complete the online application click here:

As a member you can participate in these valuable committees such as: high school visits, student symposium, assist with the development of the directory, host a quarterly or executive board meeting, serve as the chair of a committee, attend the diversity scholarship banquet and most importantly attend the annual conference for professional development.

 

List below are a few of the committees and Job Descriptions:

 

College Awareness and Planning (CAP):

 

v     Coordinate the Spring High School Visitation Program throughout Colorado.Also serve as coordinator to search for volunteers to serve as Area Coordinators for the different areas of Colorado such as: Northwestern, Northern, Northeastern, Denver Metro, Aurora, Southern, Southern Central, San Luis, and Western Slope.

 

Fundraising

 

v     To plan several fundraising events throughout the year to raise enough funds to offer six $1,000 scholarships to students.

 

Public Relations

 

v     Maintain current information to promote the CESDA organization.

 

Parliamentarian

 

v     This person would facilitate the transaction of the meeting making sure there is a quorum, every motion has been carried out and keeping the meeting on schedule.

 

Historian

 

v     A person would take pictures at all events; displays information about the CESDA organization and maintain the history, past and present of CESDA.
